ANDREW BEALL COMPLETES RESIDENCY AT FURMAN UNIVERSITY

From February 13th-19th, Andrew Beall was a guest artist/composer during a week-long residency at Furman University hosted by Omar Carmenates. During the residency, Beall gave a clinic to the Furman percussion students on being a percussionist on Broadway. In addition he coached the Furman Wind Ensemble in the premier of Dance of Identity from his work, Affirmation: Concerto for Solo Percussion and Concert Band. The residency culminated in a triple-standing ovation for Dance of Identity at the Furman Wind Ensemble's concert “Pulse” on February 19th. The Furman Wind Ensemble is directed by Dr. Leslie Hicken and the percussion soloist was Mr. Omar Carmenates.
