Clif Walker

Clif Walker lives in Kansas City, Missouri, where he is the Director of Percussion/ Assistant Director of Bands at Blue Springs High School and front ensemble arranger/designer with WGI Independent World Finalist Gateway Indoor. He is an active clinician, adjudicator and composer with original works performed at PASIC, The Mid West Band Orchestra Clinic, and the Sydney Opera House. Clif holds a MME from the University of Central Florida where he was also adjunct faculty and instructor from 1997-1999 and again 2008 - 2009, and a BSE from Missouri Western State University. He also served as the vice president of the Florida Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society, 2008 - 2009).

Clif worked with the Southwind Drum and Bugle Corps (percussion caption head/arranger 1999-2002) and is a former member and instructor of the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps (1992, 1994, and 1998). He was the 1992 DCM Timpani Solo Champion, 1993 Percussive Arts Society International Tenor Drum Champion, and 1996 PAS Timpani Champion.

Clif was also Associate Director of Bands/Director of Percussion at Timber Creek High School 2001-2008 where he started and directed the percussion program. Under his direction, the ensemble performed at the 2003 FMEA State Music Convention, 2004 SDMENC/FMEA Music Convention and the 2005 Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) as the winners of the high school percussion ensemble "call for tapes" and participants of the PAS Marching Percussion Festival where they were awarded Best Frontline. In 2007 the indoor marching percussion ensemble earned 1st place PSO at the WGI Nashville Power Regional as well as FFCC State Championships. In 2008, the concert percussion ensemble returned to FMEA for a record third time in 7 years.

In 2008, Timber Creek Independent was launched with Clif as director/arranger and made WGI History with two class promotions, 1st place finishes at WGI Orlando (PIA), WGI Nashville Power Regional (PIO), FFCC State Championships (PIW) and making PIW World Championships finals in Dayton, Ohio their very first year. His works for percussion ensemble, "Promise Music" and "A Garden of Weeds" are published by Innovative Percussion and he is proud to endorse Yamaha Musical Instruments, Remo Drumheads, Sabian Cymbals and Innovative Percussion Sticks and Mallets.
