Tour Includes Tattoo Artists, Extreme Sports, Plus Two Stages of Music
Fresh from headlining their North American tour in support of platinum album Indestructible, Disturbed launched their Music as a Weapon IV Tour, a music, tattoo and lifestyle festival that is now touring extensively across the USA.
Drummer Mike Wengren – who grew up playing SABIAN and appears alongside Chili Pepper Chad Smith, Jimmy DeGrasso, Gene Hoglan and other major players in the current SABIAN ‘What’s Your Sound? AA Vintage Bright’ marketing program – says that touring with Disturbed continues to be amazing. "This is what I’ve always wanted to do… and I’m doing it and having a lot of fun playing and meeting people from all over the world."
Disturbed conceived the Music as a Weapon Tour in 2001 and have headlined the previous three tours. But this is the first time the festival has expanded to become a lifestyle event, with a collection of major tattoo artists; an extreme sports complex featuring freestyle motocross, BMX and skate teams; a technology and gaming zone; a vendor village… and all for a ‘fan-friendly’ ticket price.
In addition to Disturbed, the 38-city, nine-week trek will feature Killswitch Engage, Lacuna Coil, Chimaira, and other bands.
