SABIAN has announced this year’s SABIAN/PASIC Scholarship winner: Greg Harrison of Fredericton, New Brunswick. The scholarship is awarded annually to aspiring young musicians and awards a trip to the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC). Harrison plays an array of musical instruments, primarily focusing on percussion. He recently earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Performance from Acadia University, Wolfville, Nova Scotia. In addition to performing, he composes and records under the moniker "GreJ". In the fall, Harrison will pursue a residency at the Music Conservatory at the University of New Brunswick. The SABIAN/PASIC Scholarship was created in 1990 by SABIAN founder and Chairman of the Board Robert Zildjian. Said SABIAN Vice President of Marketing Stacey Montgomery-Clark: "Greg is the epitome of a model percussionist – talented, ambitious, eager to learn and devoted to his craft. He has a bright future ahead of him and we’re pleased we could contribute to it."
