Howard Joines has been one of New York and Broadway’s first-call drummers and percussionists for many years. But, he has never felt more at home musically than he does at GHOST on Broadway, playing the great rock and roll grooves of composers Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) and Glenn Ballard (Alanis Morissette).
“The grooves in this show run the gamut from soft brush patterns, to monster power ballads, to full blown metal, and my SABIANs are with me every step of the way. I especially love the Evolution O-zone crash, which not only adds a unique voice, but makes a perfect eerie door-opening-screech when bowed!”
In addition to his playing career, Howard has been conducting on Broadway since 1997, and is on the conducting staff at Radio City Music Hall. He is also one of New York’s top Contractors – he loves hiring the finest musicians in the world as much as he does playing among them.
