On October 12, the Levine School of Music hosted the Levine Percussion Day at the Music Center at Strathmore in Bethesda, Maryland. Levine Percussion Department chair and SABIAN endorser Leon Khoja-Eynatyan hosted the event. The Day began with SABIAN’S Director of Education, Nick Petrella, presenting a master class on Orchestral Percussion and worked with student volunteers. World Percussionist and SABIAN endorser Tom Teasley presented a Hand Drum workshop entitled: Modern Applications for Ancient Drums. Levine faculty member Ian Sikora presented Rudiments, a Different Perspective, and the day concluded with SABIAN endorser and award-winning drummer Zoro demonstrating ideas from his book Commandments of R&B Drumming.
