SABIAN artists, Tom Teasley & Maraca2 (Tim Palmer & Jason Huxtable) were recent participants in the 6th International Percussion Festival held in Rio Negra, Patagonia, in Argentina.Tom presented a master class on his unique approach of "World Fusion Percussion" techniques. He also sat in with Taller de Percussion Huracan Buceo, a Candombe group from Uruguay and performed a solo concert with ancient and futuristic percussion.Maraca2 gave a concert of newly commissioned duo percussion music which brought the audience to its feet. The many pieces they performed saw them using a variety of SABIAN splashes, suspended and hi-hat cymbals. Not content with just performing, they also presented a master class on performing in a percussion duo to the assembled students drawn from many countries in the surrounding region.
