Summer NAMM was held in Music City, USA aka Nashville last weekend. Many of SABIAN’s endorsers, dealers and friends stopped by the SABIAN booth to see the latest offerings including Brilliant finish Paragons, redesigned Artisan crashes, Jack DeJohnette’s 3 Point Ride, Brilliant finish XS20, HHX Fusion hats and more.
SABIAN President Andy Sabian and Artist Relations Manager Chris Stankee hosted a little artist gathering at a local watering hole for guests Al Wilson (Taylor Swift), Billy Thomas (Vince Gill), Ron Gannaway (Gretchen Wilson), Herb Sucher (Randy Travis), Kelly Keagy (Night Ranger) and Tommy Harden (Reba McEntire).
Many more stopped by the booth and signed a XS20 Brilliant Rock Ride to be donated for an auction benefiting Nashville flood victims. Artists including Chris McHugh (Keith Urban), John Spittle (Trace Adkins), Rich Redmond (Jason Aldean), Jim Riley (Rascal Flatts), Jeff Clemens (G Love & Special Sauce), Tate Cunningham (Safety Suit), Bob Mater, Charlie Morgan (sessions), Darla Rae Perlozzi, Keio Stroud, Brice Williams (Lady Antebellum sessions) & Roy Wooten (Bela Fleck & The Flecktones).
Of course the nightlife in Nashville is happening and you can hear it’s finest in any of the dozens of clubs about town and includes much more than just country. We caught Derico Watson perform with Victor Wooten’s band for some groovy funk. Derico never disappoints and always baffles. The very same night we saw a blues band at BB King’s club and Fork’s Drum Shop owner Gary Forkum and his Allman Bros. inspired band at another.
Thanks for a great time Nashville and for supporting all of these great musicians!
