Sunday September 16th at the Amway Arena in downtown Orlando Florida the Heaven and Hell Tour with Vinny Appice on Drums continues. The band has been on tour for over 6 months finishing the U.S. leg of the tour in early October before heading to Japan, Australia and the Far East. One of the latest developments has the band scheduled to write & record a New C.D. in early 2008 that will have them on the road again next summer. This will be the Dio-version of the bands first CD of all new material since 1992’s "Dehumanizer". Tonight’s crowd of over 8500 fans couldn’t get enough of the band’s signature Heavy-Metal riffs covering tunes from the band’s Heaven & Hell CD released in 1980 thru all their collective work including "Mob Rules" (1981), "Dehumanizer" (1992) plus new songs from the latest CD, "Black Sabbath/The Dio Years"…The band sledge-hammered the crowd into submission early keeping them on their feet for over 2-hours, with the crowd in-turn demanding 2 encores from the Band before exiting the Arena. Great lights and effects, many set changes, excellent arrangements of classic Dio-era Sabbath tunes put all in attendance in a Heavy Metal Heaven (& Hell). You’d never believe these guys hadn’t played together for almost 15 years especially with the amount of energy they put out during their show… (See pix) Vinny has been working with his setup of 4, 20" AA Medium Crashes, 14" AA Flat Hats, 22" AA Rock Ride and 2, 20" AA China’s for the last 20+ years…"The" Heavy-Metal/Rock & Roll standard!
