The AA Spotlight & HHX Redlight Crashes: A Todd Sucherman Collaboration

The AA Spotlight & HHX Redlight Crashes: A Todd Sucherman Collaboration

Building on the success of the HH Sessions Ride, our partnership with Todd Sucherman moves forward with two complementary crash families built for modern players: AA Spotlight Crashes and HHX Redlight Crashes.

HHX Redlight Crashes

HHX Redlight Crashes are tailored for recording and fuse the complexity of Artisan with the definition and cut of AAX. Voiced for the studio, they deliver a smoky, rich character with a touch of high-end shimmer that reads clearly in both overheads and close mics. The feel is buttery, the attack is smooth, and each size works in tandem for maximum musicality. Use them as a set, and they respond like piano notes, revealing fresh textures as you move between combinations.

AA Spotlight Crashes

AA Spotlight Crashes are engineered to command the live stage. They deliver bold, cutting power with a musical, expressive touch. A hammered profile and large raw bell create clarity and focus, while the brilliant finish adds a glassy shimmer that carries in high-volume settings. Despite the punch, they keep a smooth feel and responsive dynamics, giving players confident control whether mic’d or fully acoustic. Built for the spotlight, these crashes shine when it matters most.

Both series come in 18″, 19″, 20″, and 22″, and are voiced to work in harmony. Mix Redlight and Spotlight on the same kit and you’ll get contrast where you want it and cohesion across the kit. Whether you’re chasing the perfect take or punching through stage volume, this pairing lets you dial the exact crash statement for the moment.
