Odyssey Percussion Theatre is a organization dedicated to youth education in the arts. Odyssey offers young men and women between the ages of 15 and 22 quality educational and performance experiences in the percussive arts. Our objective is to develop personal character through challenging physical, mental, and social activities while promoting the values of perseverance, hard work, and responsibility to accomplish team goals. A dedicated group of musicians have volunteered their time and expertise to create this organization and strive to provide an environment for young people to develop their musical abilities as well as their social and life skills. In 2004, Odyssey opened its first season by competing in Winter Guard International (WGI). Winter Guard is a competitive program that combines music, movement and props into a theatrical production performed in a gymnasium. Odyssey competes on the World Class level, involving over 40 young performers. Odyssey competes across the country against other indoor percussion organizations, culminating in the WGI Finals competition in Dayton, Ohio. Odyssey has just completed it’s 4th season at the World Class level, and is constantly striving to come up with creative and innovative shows to entertain audiences for years to come.
