Born in Havana, Cuba, Jimmy Branly was immersed in a vibrant musical culture from an early age. Surrounded by the rhythms and traditions of Cuban music, he began his professional drumming career at just 15 years old—quickly establishing himself as a standout talent.
Over the years, Jimmy has built an extraordinary résumé, performing and recording with a diverse array of world-renowned artists across jazz, Latin, pop, and fusion genres. His credits include collaborations with Cuarto Espacio, Issac Delgado, NG La Banda, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Keiko Matsui, Flora Purim, Airto Moreira, Rebeca Mauleón, Brandon Fields, Alan Pasqua, Lyle Mays, Otmaro Ruiz, Michael Franks, Abraham Laboriel, Michael Nesmith, Sheila E., Alex Acuña, Celia Cruz, Strunz & Farah, Luis Conte, Justo Almario, Andy Narell, Carol Welsman, Jimmy Haslip, Russell Ferrante, Oscar Hernández, Bob James, Dave Valentin, Don Grusin, Omar Sosa, Tom Scott, Ronnie Foster, John Patitucci, Bob Mintzer, Doc Severinsen, Bryan Lynch, David Garfield, Colin Hay among others.
