Steeped in a long family tradition of music, Troy Zeigler began his journey on the drum set at age 8. He immediately set out to carry on the tradition passed along by his grandfather who was a inimitable big-band drummer and leader in the 20’s, 30’s, and 40’s. In doing so, this task lead him first to music school in Boston, and eventually to various bands and sessions in Los Angeles.

Most recently, Troy has found himself holding down the drum throne for both Serj Tankian and Juliette Lewis in both a touring and recording capacity. To fill the nooks and crannies in between those bands, he has also played on several movie and television sessions; most currently, the movie ‘Youth in Revolt’ and the sitcom ‘How I Met Your Mother’. It is in this relentless pace that Troy feels quite fulfilled with his musical inheritance.
