Colorado native Brandon Barnes, formerly of Denver punk band Pinhead Circus, is currently playing in Chicago-based Rise Against. Brandon studied music in college and played drums in the University of Colorado music program. He knew then he wanted to make music his career and way of life. By listening to his favorite drummers such as Elvin Jones, Tony Williams, Terry Bozzio, Peter Erskin, Dave Lombardo, Brandon developed the style of playing he has used in various bands over the past 10 years. Rise against currently tours 8 to 9 months a year all over the world. Brandon has Played on five Rise Against records over the past ten years and are is gearing up for another. Brandon uses SABIAN Cymbals, Tama drums, Promark Drumsticks, and Evans Drumheads.
