Tyson Unrau is a drummer and drum educator based in Winnipeg. He started his professional career as a musician at the age of fourteen, and continues to successfully follow his dream of playing and recording great music. He studied drumset and percussion with many renowned teachers including Stephane Chamberland (Wizdom Drumshed Quebec City), Mitch Dorge (Crash Test Dummies), Ben Reimer (Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra), Daniel Roa (Brandon University) and Dom Famularo (Wizdom Drumshed New York). In 2013, Tyson participated in a drumming intensive with legend Dave Weckl (Chick Corea) in Chicago.

Tyson is a multifaceted drummer fluent in all genres of music. He has toured, recorded and/or performed with the following artists: The Color, Remedy Drive, Jason Kirkness,  and many others.

Tyson maintains a busy private teaching schedule in-person and on Skype at his home studio in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
