Carolina Gold Performing Arts was founded in the fall of 2000 as Carolina Gold Drum & Bugle Corps. In the years since, Carolina Gold Drum Corps has been a DCA Class A Champion and multiple time Open Class Finalist.  In 2015, Carolina Gold became the first organization to sponsor both a drum corps and a WGI Winds group. In the fall of 2016 Carolina Gold launched its most recent performing ensemble, Alchemy Independent Percussion Ensemble which will compete in WGI Independent Open class.  Carolina Gold is also responsible for Legacy Independent Winter Guard, the 2016 Class A Bronze Medalist at WGI Championships.
