Cary Nasatir is a Sabian artist and director of the Nasatir School of Percussion, a private teaching facility in Castro Valley, California. In addition to the school, Cary is an adjunct faculty member at Patten University in Oakland; percussion staff advisor to five Bay Area
schools; and has written for various music magazines and websites. His book Praise And Worship Drumming is published by Hal Leonard.

Nasatir studied percussion in his home town of Chicago with Roy C. Knapp, Jose Bethancourt, Casper Boghosian, Haskell W. Harr, and Donald Knapp, as well as conducting with Manual Piculas.
