Luke Hubley is an active freelance percussionist who specializes in contemporary music. Most recently he has worked as Co-Artistic Director of the Liminal Space Contemporary Music Ensemble, who he regularly performs with and is a founding member. Luke has performed with several other contemporary music organizations which include Aperio, MUSIQA, the Foundation for Modern Music, Opera Vista, the Austin New Music Co-Op, Da Camera’s Young Artists, and has appeared on the Brave New Waves Electronic Music Series and the Houston Fringe Festival. As a freelance percussionist, he has performed with a diverse array of organizations which include the Houston Grand Opera HGOco, the Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, the Midland-Odessa Symphony, and Stages Repertory Theatre. Luke is an active music educator with teaching positions at San Jacinto College and Houston Community College, and is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Houston.
