Max Buettner is german based drummer, songwriter, educator & producer, who was born in Aschaffenburg near Frankfurt (Main). He began studying drums in 2012 at the university for Art, Design and Popular Music Freiburg. During his studies he expanded his live experience playing renown festivals such as the Jazzopen Stuttgart and Donauinselfest Wien, playing in TV and touring through Europe with his bands.

During several stays New York City, he received private teachings from Dom Famularo and from 2019 onwards he continued his studies at the renown Popakademie in Mannheim, where he had the chance to learn from world-class teachers such as Claus Hessler, Udo Dahmen, Anika Nilles and many more. Max Buettner holds and bachelor degree in drums & songwriting producing and a master’s degree in music pedagogy. He is currently teaching as a university teacher, is active as a touring/session drummer and also as a freelance composer.
