Rachel Julian completed her Doctor of Musical Arts at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in December 2005. She also holds a Master of Music and a Bachelor of Arts in Music.
Rachel is an active freelance percussionist in the Las Vegas area. Her performance credits include the Las Vegas Philharmonic, the Nevada Pops, The Lion King, Hairspray, “Steel R & R” steel drum duo, Killian’s Angels, Luciano Pavarotti’s Farewell Tour, Opera Las Vegas, the Southern Nevada Musical Arts Society and other opportunities. She appears on Andrea Bocelli’s DVD Amore Under the Desert Sky and has performed in Canada, Mexico, Austria, England, China and the Czech Republic.
Currently, Rachel is serving as Director of Percussion and Piano at the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy in Las Vegas. She also coaches the percussion sections for the Las Vegas Youth Orchestras, maintains a private percussion studio and teaches for the College of Southern Nevada.
Rachel endorses SABIAN cymbals, is a member of the Vic Firth Education Team and serves as secretary for the Nevada Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society.
