Born June 10, 1972 in Stanford, Ca; this self taught musician began playing drums at the age of 3. He began playing professionally at the age of 16 with gospel legend Daryl Coley. He worked to put himself through school to learn how to read music and continues to hone his skills developing his speed and dexterity giving him the nickname “Taz”. Dante’ is known foremost as a versatile drummer with chops ranging from Jazz, Rock, Latin, Funk, R&B, Hip-Hop, and Gospel. He is an internationally endorsed musician whose career spans over 20 years. Dante’ was a part of the Grammy award Winning single “Diary” by the R&B artist Alicia Keys. He has worked with other notable artists such as Najee, Joe, Marcus Johnson, Grammy Nominated Eric Benet, Oscar Winner & Grammy winner Jaime Foxx, Grammy Winner India Arie, Dave, Dwayne Wiggins, Tony Toni Ton’e, Hollister, BB King, Icon legend Bonnie Raite, Jaime and Sunny Hawkins, Carl Wheeler, Tremaine Hawkins, Byron Cage, Phil Perry, Alicia Keys, Ivan Johnson, Marcus Johnson, Michael Cooper, Tony Saunders, Dayne Stevens New Power
Generation, Tracey Chapman, Busta Rhymes, Larry Braggs of Tower of Power just to name a few and is currently touring with The Whispers, EnVogue, and Stephanie Mills. Outside of being “just a drummer”, he is a director, a clinician, a teacher, a producer, and a mentor. As a result, he’s collaborated on a number of television, film, commercial, and video game projects. This loyal and hard working musician gives nothing but his best.
