The 22” HH Sessions Ride is a collaboration between the Master Artisans at SABIAN and Todd Sucherman, a true Master of the craft of drumming.
At a glance
Handcrafted in the SABIAN factory, this very special ride cymbal has been designed to be Todd’s Ride of choice for Studio recording, the Sessions Ride is heavily hand hammered and then hand lathed to create multiple thicknesses over its surface – and then hand hammered for a second time. The result is bold articulation, a pleasant splash on the slap, a complex spread and a massive crash. The pitch of the bell is designed to be higher than the tonic note of the cymbal, which gives the Sessions Ride its special quality as both a studio weapon and a monster on the stage.

I missed the 1st round of this fantastic cymbal but I'm so glad Sabian decided to bring it back.. I've been a huge fan of Todd since the day he joined STYX. John Panozzo was a true hero and I was devastated at his loss, but Todd has been doing a fantastic job in keeping his legacy alive and in his own right creating his own unique sound. Now about this cymbal.. Oh my goodness! If you watch the video's of Todd's playing and hear the great sound of his HH Session Ride.. that sound transfers nicely across the counter to the drummers of the world. It has so many levels of sound from the bell down to the edge making it so versatile for any type of music. I mostly play Country/Blues and this has become my favorite Ride to use at any show.. I hope Sabian and Todd can add to this collection so I can add to mine..

Is there an “all in one” ride cymbal? There certainly is and this is it! A powerful bell, great stick articulation and crashability. The lovely thing about this instrument is how fast you can go back to playing ride patterns after crashing it. Love it! Thanks Sabian and Todd. A home run!

I was looking for a ride with a bell that was clear and crisp never found one I liked. Then one evening at a Masterclass before they were available I listened to Todd ride the bell I fell in love. I was one who got one before June it is awesome.
