CAREER HIGHLIGHT: Getting the opportunity to teach at organizations that won the DCI Open Class Championship in 2022 and the WGI Open Class Championship in 2024. Both respectively hold the current highest scores.

Alexis Vargas is a percussion educator, designer, arranger, and performer based out of the Inland Empire in Southern California.
Alexis currently teaches Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corps, Meraki Indoor Percussion, and Columbians Drum and Bugle Corps over the summer and on the weekends. He also taught under Patrick Malone at SCVC in 2022.
His performance experience includes a season of Drum Corps with Gold Drum & Bugle Corps in 2016 and 3 seasons of Indoor Percussion with Orange County Independent in 2017 then with Vessel Indoor Percussion in 2018 and 2020. Outside of the marching world, he performs in community bands and offers drum set lessons to local or national students!
He has also worked with many schools, including Temecula Valley High School, where he serves as the percussion caption head year-round and drill designer for the indoor season.
Alexis is a University of California Riverside graduate majoring in Political Science and minoring in Philosophy. He proudly endorses Innovative Percussion and is excited to join the Sabian Family!
