Born and raised in Singapore, Alvin started off as a self-taught drummer during his school days and only had his formal drums lessons in 2000 after starting his career as a full-time drummer, playing in clubs all over Singapore and establishing himself as a professional musician. Since then, Alvin has backed several of his homelands’ artists before his career moved mainly to Macau and Hong Kong in 2008.

Throughout his career, Alvin has been recognized for his professionalism on drums and as a musical director and was invited to perform on television shows and with a number of well known solo artists throughout Asia including William So, Richie Jen, Eric Moo, Joker Xue, Hacken Lee and many more. Alvin is also a sought after session drummer in Asia.
